June 24, 2009. Tim Krekel died from cancer this afternoon. We at Kentucky Homefront mourn his passing. We miss him dearly, are proud to have known him, and we are ever grateful for all the tunes he left behind.

Tim, I love you and will always miss you! You are in my heart, and shall remain until MY passing day! You're beautiful in and out, and your kindness towards this little child who looked up to you so greatly will NEVER go forgotten! I will play your songs until Im gone, for the thing we live for and that outlives us is song and music! You're my hero, and I wish I could have felt your presence one last time!! Thank for all you have taught me, without you ever knowing it! I'll never forget all the memories of my times with you!
